I realize I haven’t posted in nearly a month. I’ve been dealing with my mental health issues. I began online therapy and it’s been helping way better than traditional therapy due to my new work schedule.
On that note, I started a new job as a teacher at a childcare center. It’s only my first week and I already love it!
I plan to resume writing posts and attempt to brighten up someone’s day.
When you think of yoga what comes to mind?
According to the American Osteopathic Association, yoga can be beneficial for many different reasons such as
- Increased flexibility
- Increased muscle strength and tone
- Improved respiration energy and vitality
- Cardio and circulatory health
- Weight reduction
- Balancing a healthy metabolism
- Improved athletic performance
For me, yoga improves my flexibility, teaches me to practice mindfulness, and helps me relax.
There are many yoga apps available in an App Store. You can go on YouTube and simply search for yoga. You can also choose anywhere from beginner to expert, as well as the duration of your session.
So next time you’re feeling anxious, or any other negative emotion, incorporate yoga in your regimen of relaxing activities.

I am in control of my thoughts and emotions.
When you think of someone who inspires you who comes to mind? A family member, friend, celebrity?
I would like to share with you one of the inspirations in my life right now. His name is Derek Smith.
He is more commonly known as Mod Sun.
A rapper, author, rock musician, and poet, Mod Sun spreads positive vibes through his lyrics and artistry.
One of my favorite songs by him is not even a song at all. It is more of a podcast called “When Did I Wake Up?” Mod Sun explains his points of view on the universe. Earlier this evening I was feeling very anxious and I had racing thoughts. After the song was complete my mood did a 180.
So the next time you’re in a rut, turn on some music and listen to your favorite artists.
